Whether or not Cafe Gitane is charming, cozy and sophisticated or a den of Euro Trash depends on your perspective. Its seductive location, intriguing menu, and fine fare offer much charm. But the endless cellphone calls, the long waits and attitude of both patrons and staff alike sometimes create a charged atmosphere. Then again, it's infinitely more tranquil than nearby Cafe Habana.
